Barron's reports Trip Chowdhry of Global Equities Research believes the Apple Watch will launch with about 100,000 apps from the get go. Chowdhry basis his prediction after attending several "Apple Watch-Kit hackathons" with his fellow team members.
Chowdhry also believes "the $350 price of Apple Watch appears to be a non-issue”, because “On an average an Apple Watch user will have 100 Apps installed, and one way to think about it is that the consumer is getting 100 devices for $350 ..i.e. $3.50 per device."
Keep in mind that it took the iTunes App Store 16 months to hit the 100,000 app milestone. It is also important to note that the App Store is already established, only requiring developers to create extensions of apps for the Apple Watch. What do you think?
