restore error

hey guys i currently have an ipod touch 4g jailbroken on 4.2.1 i want to get the jail break off and restore my ipod back to stock. when i plug then phone in into dfu and recovery move it wont let me restore my ipod. i get some errors that says this ipod cannot be restored? how can i just restore my ipod back to stock. i am doing this all on the same computer i registered my ipod on. any help is appreciated. thanks so much
