Hi is there any way to retrieve deleted chat on words with friends

If you have a backup dating from before you deleted the chat messages you could restore your iPhone from that backup and it should have your previously deleted chat messages.

Hi thanks for reply I'm not too good with this stuff I think I have iCloud I think to use backup you have to first delete every thing is this is so when you used the backup would every thing come back things like all my apps would I have to like sign in again I have apps for my banking ,Ryanair ,games

Do you mean the contents of the flash storage on an iPhone? That can't be done separately from a full backup. Unless you have a backup of your iPhone that contains those deleted chat messages, you won't be able to recover them.

Hi thanks i have iCloud back up so that could work I'm worried if I delete every will every thing come back as it was plus all deleted items

If you restore your iPhone from an iiCloud backup, it will be as it was on the date of that backup.

If you restore your iPhone from an iiCloud backup, it will be as it was on the date of that backup.

Any data added to your iPhone between the time you made the backup and when you restored your iPhone from that backup would be lost.

I think I missed something here. I thought the OP was asking about retrieving a deleted chat that occurred within the App "Words with Friends". Are chats within apps included in backup info or does one need to refer to the App Developer.

If there's a recorded message within an App, it should be saved in iCloud as long as the App itself is in iCloud.

If restoring an iPhone to factory condition, the backup is made just before the iPhone is erased if you're doing the restore trough iTunes on your computer or through iCloud. doing it through iTunes will likely be faster.

Sorry don't understand do I need a computer ? How do I erase every thing how do I do the backup would I be better off taking my phone to a shop to get this done

If you backup to iCloud, you don't need a computer. To backup your iPhone in iCloud, go to Settings - your information - iCloud - iCloud Backup, and select Backup Now.

To backup to iTunes, you need a computer. You connect your iPhone to the computer using the cable that's also used for charging, open iTunes, wait for the iPhone to appear in iTunes and select it, then choose the Summary tab, and scroll down to Backups, where you click "Back Up Now".

To erase your device, go to Settings. In iCloud, disable "Find my iPhone". Then go to General - Reset, and select "Erase all Content and Settings". This will remove every informtion from your iDevice, and set it back to factory settings.
