BulleTrain, the first ever iPhone release from Downsized Games, is a non-stop shoot ‘em up game that lets the player show his or her ex-boss who’s boss. Despite being set way in the future in 2124, on a planet called Glendon-19, the game’s story is an all-too familiar tale these days, with lead character Miles Stone having his small shipping company shut down by the ruthless actions of Elaborate Acquisitions and the bullet trains. Left on the streets with nothing but his wits and a giant gun strapped to his delivery truck, Miles seeks payback against the bullet trains.

And if you think there might be more than a little truth behind the subject matter of the game and developer Downsized Games name, then you’d be right, as Downsized Games was actually founded by four ex-Pandemic Studios employees who were themselves downsized.

The game is essentially an homage to old-school arcade shooters, with lots of humour thrown in for good measure. The full version has over 30 train cars, four boss cars, and one annoying CEO to blast to pieces.
