Ringtone question

When I go under my contacts, and I click on one of my friends name, I click on ringtones. These are just basic ones and I want to take a song off my phone to make it their own ringtone. How do I do this?

I downloaded a free app called RMaker which allows you to make ringtones from itunes. Not sure if there is an easier way to do it or not but I can say this worked for me.
The application gives all the instructions on how to make the ringtone as well.
