Route planning apps?

I am new (got my SE yeasterday) to iphones and the ios systems. In the past i had android apps that let me create very custom road trip routing maps on my PC and then download them into my phone for using as a GPS.

I had assumed that google my maps would work the same way on the iphone but apparently not....

Any suggestions on similar apps, i really don't like creating the map on the phone screen but it seems like most of the iphone apps don't have a computer/phone interface...

any advice will be qppreciated....

I love Waze! It's available on iOS and i think it's great because you can schedule trips before so you know what time to leave due to traffic, accidents, etc. Also, it's in real time so it'll tell you what accidents are nearby, if you're going over the speed limit, and where other wazers are. I love it and I haven't gone back to Apple Maps or Google Maps since.
