According to AppleInsider, the seemingly never-ending debate about exactly what the next iPhone will be called, and whether or not there will be an iPhone Pro model, has finally been all but confirmed by a very good source.
MacOtakara says that it has heard from a “reliable information source” that the iPhone that is due to be announced on September 7 will be called iPhone 7, and there will only be an iPhone 7 Plus model, not an iPhone 7 Pro, as had been rumoured.
MacOtakara said that its source has been correct in the past when identifying the iPhone 5c, and also the iPhone SE.
The source also mentioned in this latest report that the iPhone 7 will have a Force Touch capacitive home button, which supports other recent reports stating exactly that.
There was no mention of another recent rumour from Twitter leaker The Malignant that said that the iPhone 7 would use fast-charge technology.
