MacRumors reports today that according to the naughtily named Apple ***** website, what are said to be home buttons from the forthcoming iPhone 5 have started to appear on the Web, more specifically on Chinese parts supplier, TVC-Malls website. The site is offering both black and white home buttons for sale, and as you can see from the picture, the buttons have a slightly different shape to those of the iPhone 4S, with rounded corners similar to those of an app icon. The circular depression is the same, however, and once the home button is fitting snuggly where it belongs, in the case of a shiny new iPhone, it probably won't be noticable as being any different. As MacRumors note, these pictures, if genuine, would confirm that the next iPhone will still have a home button, contradicting previous rumours from a while back that said that this would not be the case. MacRumors says that TVC-Mall has a good track record of leaking genuine iOS device parts, so these pictures may well be the first confirmation that a new iPhone is on the way. The fact that home buttons from the next iPhone have already surfaced makes me wonder if the rumours of a June launch for the next phone are in fact true, or it could be just that the parts have surfaced very early prior to the October launch, as has been the case previously.
