Telltale Games has today made the first episode of Sam & Max: Beyond Time and Space – Ice Station Santa – free to download for a limited time, as well as making the remaining four episodes in the series available at 40% off, or $2.99 each. So, if you’ve been wanting to dip your toes into the wacky waters of the Freelance Police, then now would be the perfect time to do so. You don’t have to be a fan of the classic Lucas Arts adventure games to enjoy Sam & Max, although it certainly makes the game even more delightful for classic gaming nostalgia buffs, but fan or not, you’re not going to regret downloading this free episode, in which the Freelance Police must face up to the most ancient and powerful foe that they’ve ever encountered, Santa Claus himself. Also included completely free in the download is the Whack da Ratz mini-game, and a Soundboard where you can mix and max quotes from your favourite Sam & Max characters.
