I have done a screen replacement for a friend of mine after he dropped his iPhone 4S and cracked the screen. I ordered a new screen from eBay and replaced the screen, I have done this on many iPhones, both 4 and 4S without any problems.
But this time, after putting the phone back together, the screen only lights up completely black. Only the backlight inside the phone works.
The phone responds to putting in the charger, screenshots and turning on silent mode. I have tried resetting it several times, but without any luck.
I have checked all ribbon cables and that all the screws are in place. Everything seems to be in order, but the screen still won't work properly.
Here are some pictures of my problem (I know the screws and the cover for the antenna is not mounted, I put it back after taking the picture and still would not work).
