Second device app purchase?

I if I buy an app of I have to pay again to have it on my second device with the same Apple ID? If not so if I have 10 devices with the same id I only pay once?

I have an iphone and ipad, using the same apple id. I only bought the software once and I can use it on both devices.

Apple allows up to devices to share the same iTunes account for purchasing appliactions. Currently have 5 devices on my account and I only need to but the application once. It is one of the huge benefits of iOS over Android.
