The International Business Times reports today that Apple has finally got the go-ahead to launch the iPhone 4 in China on September 15th. According to the report, Apple has won approval for China Compulsory Certification, meaning that it can now enter the worlds biggest mobile market. An unnamed source told Donews that China Unicom will offer customers both the 16GB and 32 GB iPhone 4 from September 15th onwards. Although the cost of the two units has yet to be revealed, the IBT says that it is expected to be higher than that of the iPhone 3GS, which China Unicom started selling from August 9th, for 4,999 yuan.
The IBT adds that the iPhone 4 will also be launching in Taiwan in September, although they dont have an exact date for that one.
As of today, this story is still a rumour as Apple has yet to confirm it as fact, and its doubtful well get any sort of official confirmation prior to September.
