Setting up iPhone 4

I have been using the iPhone 3G for a couple of years. I just received the new 4. Of course, I want all the same songs, apps, pictures, etc. that are on my 3G to be on the new 4. Is it as simple as connecting the 4 to the PC, running iTunes and hitting "Sync"? Or is there a better way? Someone had told me that doing it this way could create problems, if true, how should I do it?

I have the latest version of iTunes, and I run a PC with Windows XP Pro.

It will ask if you want to restore it as your old phone. Just click yes, grab a soda and wait.
