the way you manage to connect your iPhone to a wit, do the same to connect other devices to the same wifi. There is no point trying to share a wifi connection from your iPhone to another device unless i'm missing something.
Ok, so if you were capable of sharing your iPhone wifi connection to other devices, how are you planing to share the connection from your iPhone to your computer which doesn't have a wifi card?

Are you trying to get a 3G signal from your phone, and display it upon your laptop? If so, "yes, that can be done." You use a "tethering" cable. However, you should have an unlimited data plan that supports tethering because it will use a lot of data.

Read the tittle of the tread. He wants to share a wifi connection from his phone to his computer, he said his computer is missing a wifi card that's why it can't connect to the original wifi spot. With 3G it's possible, but with wifi? His iPhone is basically turning to become the router which will still require his computer that same missing wifi card.

Yeah but i think that there is no way you will get that tethering done. 3G tethering to your computer using cable is possible, but wifi tethering from your iPhone to your computer? Try MyWi from cydia.

Ah. One option to consider is to buy a portable wifi connector for your computer. They are the size of a zip drive and fit in a USB port and will allow your computer to function the same as if it had an internal wifi card.
