Should I get an Iphone? Advice Please :-)

I am interested in getting the iphone 4s, but have a question.

I need to be able to tether my phone to my laptop. I dont know how to do this "Jailbreak" thing. What would I have to do to get tether on the iphone, will it be difficult?

The iPhone has built-in tethering/hotspot features. No jailbreak is required.

Is there a fee for tethering/hotspot? I'm guessing yes. And if so, what is it on Verizon?

Does it cost extra to do the tethering though? When I was rooted on Android, I was able to tether but if you were stock, then it charged you.

Yea there is a extra $20 monthly charge for 2gbs.
