Signal on the iphone 5

When I turn my IPhone 5 on it shows 5 bars of signal instantly and then in about 20 seconds it goes in to search mode, and in about 30 seconds it shows 5 bars again, I think this is a bit odd, I've had iPhone 4,4s and this never happened on them, does anyone know the reason for this?

Sounds like either a network issue or broken phone, get it exchanged while you're in your first 15 days and see If the new ( not refurb) does the same thing.
