My last iPhone 4 was overheating/draining battery rapidly. I took it to the apple store and they were nice enough to replace it even though it wasn't covered by warranty (they said it was badly water damaged)
However, the new phone they've given me appears to have some faults? It's a 16GB Black iPhone 4 running 5.0GM.
The phone spends a lot more time on the 'E' (edge) network now where it previously would never. It'll have 4 bars and a 3G signal and then the bars will reset and the 3G will drop to E. When it's on 'E' I can download at 10-50kb/s. When on 3G I can get ~300Kb/s
On my previous phone (same iOS, same location - tethered to my computer) I would get 1.2-1.4MB/s pretty consistently.
Does anyone know what could be causing this? Is my best option just to take it back again and see if they will give me another replacement?
