sms tones killing me

i have tried everything to get these sms tones to work on my 3g.
I've tried using ifunbox and winscp
I've vary carefully gone over it step by step making sure i did everything right but every time the tones dont work i tried sms-received1-5.caf and wen i click them no sound.. this is wut i have been doing

1 convert my sound clip to .aiff
2 rename it sms-received1.caf
3 remove original sms file
4 drag my renamed sms file into ifunbox/scp
5 copy/save the file
6 both reboot and none reboot
7 check settings for sms sounds=none work

If u can help me id appreciate it

I got lots of new tones on my s4 really easily,google mobile9 for iphone,choose a tone,download it to pc,open it in itunes,sync,thats it,really easy,let me know how u go.

You can get any iphone tones on there!think u just select the phone u have

idk wut ur talking about but im talking about making a real ringtone/song my txt tone. and that can only b done with a 3g on ios4.2.1by doing what i described in the thread.
