Was talking to a Canadian friend who tried to purchase a 4S yesterday and was told the sales had been halted due to a software problem. Does anyone have knowledge of this in the states?

I haven't heard anything either about a software problem, but I have been reading that Apple is taking some serious looks at the 4S's battery issue. They actually acknowledge it, and are looking into it. This is being discussed at the official Apple iPhone forum. And this was a front page headline earlier today in Google News.
