AppleInsider reports that the China Consumers Association (CCA) has asked Apple to investigate complaints of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s units closing down suddenly and finally, even though they have approximately 50 to 60 percent left on the battery. When the user then plugs the phone in it doesn’t restart, so the phone is unusable.
“In view that Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s series cellphones in China have a considerable number of users, and the number of people who’ve reported this problem is rather many,” said the China Consumer Association in a statement on its website, adding that it has “already made a query with Apple.”
Apple has not yet officially responded to the request from the CCA. In the US it is already involved in a class action lawsuit regarding the so-called “touch disease” that has been affecting some iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models due to touch controller chips getting loose.
