On Tuesday, apps like Narwhal, iAlien, Baconreader and more have gone MIA in the App Store. This is due clause 18.2, which states apps containing "frequently pornographic" user-generated content will be rejected.
The good news is iMore dug deeper into the story and the apps will come back to the App Store soon. Before that can happen, developers of third-party Reddit apps will need to remove "Not Safe For Work" toggles within them. Third-party Reddit apps will now need to rely on the user's preferences on the site for filtering explicit content.
