Somone new from Switzerland

Hi, I am Dan. From Switzerland, and I would like to create iphone app (specifically, a dictionary and a book) and for this, I was told that I should buy an apple product first, to install the sdk or to try, but I am buying Ipad retina in about 4 days, and I would like to know if the Ipad retian can allow me to create apps without having the need to buy macbook or the Iphone. I want to know, If I can create apps and test them at the same time in my Ipad retina? and what else is there to know aside from paying the 100$ per year if I wanted to sell my apps?

You'll need a developer account as well on top of the "marketing" fee that you have to pay to keep your app on the market. If you don't want to buy a Mac, you'll need to make your own Hackintosh to use Xcode to create your app, to troubleshoot/debug it, and for simulation as well.

All apps can be created under the same conditions regardless of the output platform. Xcode is used to create both, and to differentiate the two or to create a universal app, you'll need to incorporate that within your code. And like I said, you can do it without an actual Mac, you'll need a Hackintosh or a VM Mac OS running with Xcode privileges to do so.

Ok, thank you as you are trying to help me, but I still did not get my question answered so I will simplfy it. I do not have an Iphone, but I have an Ipad retina. Now! is it possible to create apps for the iphone using only my Ipad??

Are you sure you understand what you're trying to ask, that's the first. You can create an app for ANY device on ANY iOS. You can create iPhone apps for your iPad to test. If you want to create an app for ONLY iPHONES, you would incorporate that into your info.plist.

Secondly, you CANNOT COMPILE an app on your iPad. You'll need Xcode to compile an app and debug it. There's no Xcode for the iPad. You can remote access to a computer on your iPad and code it THROUGH your iPad, but you cannot physically code and compile an app on your iPad. If you could create apps on an iPad, companies like the one I work for wouldn't need to spent the money on Macs, everyone could walk around with an iPad and do it straight off of it for a fraction of the cost.
