Apple admits that the iPhone 4 is the Sony project.

Here's a pic of said beast.

Does look kinda familiar, doesn't it?

I'm not an Apple Fanboy by any means but... anyone can take a pic, slap "SONY" on it... and type some BS writing under it to make Apple look like A-holes.

True, but a couple more photographs show the differences.

In any case, the iPhone experience is not about what the thing looks like. What Apple have created is a completely rounded experience. With iTunes, the app store, a bullet-proof OS and more than adequate hardware, it's difficult to get away from the things, once hooked.

And if that's what being a fanboy is all about, then I have to admit that I am one. The iPhone and iPad have dictated my next choice of computer, for example. I never considered an iMac before I had those two, but now I'm certain that I'll be heading down that road next time my PC dies.

I would never go back to a windows pc now.

Unfortunately Apple admits to using Sony similar designs. You should google it .

I wasn't calling you out on it... I assure you. I'd just rather see something official from Apple that some trumped up stuff that's "on the internet." Know what I mean...

Personally, I think Apple, Samsung et al should all grow up and stop these lawsuits. If you start out with a 4:3 or 16:9 screen and a battery and a handful of other items, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that the resultant phone is going to look pretty similar to everything else out there.

It's like dolphins and sharks. One's a fish, the other's a mammal yet visually they are practically identical. Form follows function, and it's high time the tech companies realized that.

The iPhone is a fine piece of equipment, and I'm sure the same is true of most Android offerings, so why can't we just go back to the good old days of selling items by offering value and service, or am I being too old-fashioned?

Old-fashioned? Not at all. The issue is that society has become sooooooo dependent on wireless devices that it allows these big companies to cut each others throats like this.

Agreed, it's too easy to fake things these days. I'll believe it when I see it come from Apple.
