Last night, all of a sudden, my speakerphone and speakers stopped working! Tried everything on Apple's site to try and fix: reset, restoring factory settings, cleaning the mic and earphone ports, turning phone on and off, everything!! Everything short of bringing it to an Apple store. Would like to exhaust all options before doing so since this problem seems to be a recurrent event in the 4S's. Any suggestions?

Didn't think I would've had to state the obvious, but yes, that was checked as well. Thx

Make a backup of your iPhone in iTunes. Factory restore your iPhone in iTunes (If you haven't upgrade to the new iOS, iTunes will force you to do so, if you are not actually having a jailbroken iPhone then go ahead and upgrade the iOS) After doing a factory restore check and see if the speakers are working or not, if not take it to apple store, if it's working then go ahead and restore your backup file. If the speakers stop working after you restore your backup file, then there is an issue with your files and you will have to start over and without your backup files.

So I just went through this. First off I suggest selling asap once you get it working. If you turn the volume down to about the middle and turn phone upside down screen facing the down towards ground tap on phone near the flash and camera lens. You will need to keep volume about medium and you should be good and then sell it quick. I hope this helps.

Really? That's not a solid resolution to their problem. That would be like me selling my tow truck business because one of the trucks had a flat tire.
