Speakers on my 4s

I have noticed that there are two speakers on my phone underneath the home button. When I play any sound out of the iPhone, only one speaker produces sound. Is that normal, or is my phone damaged?

Normal. The other one is a microphone.

I thought the same thing at first saying Crap! my phones busted. Nope, it's the microphone. Apple - iPhone 4S - Technical Specifications Scroll down to External Buttons and Connectors.
