AppleInsider reports that the official Star Wars Twitter account has confirmed that the first teaser trailer for the eagerly awaited (putting it mildly!) Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie will be posted on Apple’s iTunes on Black Friday. Apple seconded the news with its own confirmatory tweet.
The move by Apple comes after Lucasfilm previously said that just 30 theaters in the U.S. would be showing the 88-second trailer on Friday, meaning that everyone else in the country who didn’t happen to be in one of those 30 theaters would miss out.
Now, thanks to Apple, anyone who wants to see the trailer can watch it on the iTunes Movie Trailers app, the iTunes desktop app, and the iTunes trailers website.
The forthcoming episode VII of the Star Wars franchise has been directed by J.J. Abrams, and is due for release in over one year from now, on December 18, 2015.
