Starbucks was announced as an Apple Pay partner back when Apple unveiled the mobile payment system last fall. But only now is the company beginning to roll out support for Apple Pay.
Starting today, iPhone customers can load credit to a Starbucks Card within the app using Apple Pay as a payment method. Here's what the company said on its official iTunes page:
"Now you can use Apple Pay to quickly reload your Starbucks Card. Touch ID makes it faster than ever. By popular demand, the menu is enhanced. When you browse our menu you’ll now find additional calorie information on menu items. "
The app has also been enhanced with Mobile Order & Pay in Portland and various bugs and stability issues have been taken care of. Go ahead and follow the link at the end to download the latest version.
