Stopping iPhone 4 from pushing email at certain times?

On both my husband's and I's iPhone 4's we have our email set up. We have a problem though, at night when emails come into our account it will 'push' and wake us up in the middle of the night. Is there any way to stop it from pushing at certain times, or do we just have to put our phones on silent? TIA!

Yes, silent is the only way to go! Just FYI the alarm will still sound.

You don't have to make the phone completely silent, just go into settings, then click sounds and where it says 'new mail' just toggle it to off.
