Suggestions Needed!!

Hey guys!
I'm all excited for the new iPhone 5...but can't seem to figure out a way to get my hands on a factory unlocked one.
Since, Apple still hasn't yet released factory unlocked ones and one has to bind oneself with a contract to get one..
I was wondering how could I order a factory unlocked one?

Went on AT&T site the other day..
If I buy without contract iPhone. Would that be factory unlocked? Or...?!?

Suggestions would be much appreciated.

So glad it's easier in the Uk to get a sim free or one on pay as you go.
