Supposed iPhone 8 Front Assembly and New Copper Gold Variant Photos Leak

BGR writes that images leaked on Chinese micro blogging site Weibo claim to show the front assembly of Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 8, including the OLED display, digitizer, and glass casing. The images look very much like what we’ve seen in dummies and renders of the new phone, including the cutout at the top for the sensors, thin bezel, and edge-to-edge display without any hint of a Touch ID sensor embedded or any sort of Home button.

Also today, 9to5 Mac reports on images of several iPhone 8 rear casings that were also posted on Weibo that purport to show a new copper gold iPhone colour variant alongside the more familiar black and space-gray models. There’s no indication as to whether or not the first photos show a genuine iPhone 8, or simply another dummy, but one of the pictures does show the phone in what looks like a packaging carton, possibly used for transit. Further, Slashleaks has also just posted more images of the alleged copper-gold iPhone, but specifically refers to them as dummy pictures.
