The photos come courtesy of luxury modified iPhone company Feld & Volk, who back in July posted some photos and video footage of the rear shell of an iPhone 6, but one that had not been properly finished off yet.
MacRumors says that Feld & Volk has now posted pictures of what it says is a finished iPhone 6 rear shell, with some of the pictures revealing previously unknown aspects of the 4.7-inch iPhone.
In particular, you can see the volume button cutouts, which make for less chance of accidentally turning the volume up or down.
Also noticeable is the embedded Apple logo, which has not been used by Apple as an iPhone feature since the very first iPhone in 2007. According to Feld & Volk, the logo is similar to that of the original iPhone, but is made of “very extraordinary” scratch-resistant metal, which Feld & Volk thinks could be a Liquidmetal alloy.
