Syncing historical calendar events to Gmail calendar

Hi,

Can anyone help me out here?

I'm using my Gmail calendar a lot more and want to sync my historical events on my iPhone calendar with it because it has important dates and things I need.

I have gone into calendar settings on the iPhone and changed it to sync all events but it doesn't seem to send the old events to Gmail calendar. Has anyone got any ideas on how I can do this?
