Hi everyone,

I will be going to the Bahamas next month and will be in Airplane mode so I don't get hit with roaming charges. I installed Talkatone using the Google Voice #. If I am on wifi only will I be able to call home to check on the kids without any charges? I have been searching for this and cannot get an exact answer.

If anyone has tried this, please let me know.

Firstly let me say this.. I am so jealous because I wish I could go there lmao..

But on a serious note, If you are in wifi area then you can use Factime to call home FREE no charges at all and its a video call as well so if your family has a mac computer or a Idevice like a ipad or ipod touch that has the front camera then you can make them free video calls, but other then that if you just make a call then being on wifi wome make a difference to them roaming charges so I think facetime would be a good option for you if possible.

I use talkatone over wifi all the time. It's nice and cost effective.
