the difference between iPhone 4s GSM and CDMA

hi all.I am sorry to post again.

I was with my friends from Indonesian are being confused with the intent of the specifications iPhone 4s for gsm and cdma. anyone can explain perhaps?

Sincerely this frankly ambiguous for us. and what there was 4s cdma sim card slot, or else there are no restrictions between verizon and sprint? cause i know i have to inject it to cdma. thx all.

AT&T & T-Mobile are GSM. Uses a SIM card slot. Verizon & Sprint are CDMA, although they use different frequencies. Verizon has some phones with slots for future use. They are non functional as of now.
