These days, the mania of privacy rises more and more and is spreading quickly all around the globe. Following this line of thought, we just received information that the next gen iPhone might bring a futuristic feature designed to keep hackers at bay.
There have been some rumors which claim that Apples upcoming operating system, the iOS 7, will come packed with a biometric scanner feature. In layman's terms, this means that the device will be able to scan a users finger and then unlock the device for use. According to this theory, users will have to place their thumbs on the home screen before being cleared for access.
With the release of the iOS 7 Beta for developers, the rumors have intensified and for good reason, apparently. 9to5Mac reported that one dev stumbled upon a so called BiometricKitUI folder which contains several references to fingerprint.
A Taiwan-based production company called Next Media Animation has also posted relevant information which seems to indicate the same scenario. However, the firm has tempered the excitement of users and anticipated a release date for such a device somewhere around 2014.
Even with all the fuss, the rumors must be taken accordingly, because many sites tend to report a lot of seemingly exciting and veridical information in the eve of an Apple product launch. So far not even the exact name for the next generation iPhone is not clearly known although most likely its going to be called the iPhone 5S.
