Time Crisis 2nd Strike Out Now

Namco Networks has launched its sequel to Time Crisis on iOS devices today with Time Crisis 2nd Strike. As with the first classic arcade on-rails FPS, it's all about how fast you can reload and how accurately you can shoot. In the action-packed sequel, players take on the role of agent Giorgio Bruno in a race against the clock to stop multiple acts of terror. The new installment in the classic series comes with a choice between four standard-issue weapons, with the action played out across 10 stages connected by cinematic cut-scenes. At each stage, the player will also have the opportunity to earn unlockable achievements. There's also a competition mode, in which players can aim for the highest score or time. Here's what Namco's General Manager of Apple Games, Jonathan Kromrey, had to say about the game:

“With the success of the Time Crisis franchise, we wanted to bring fans the quality you’d expect from a major brand. In Time Crisis 2nd Strike, enthusiasts will notice that we’ve upgraded the tilt control to keep the reload action fast—utilizing an onscreen pedal to make the game mechanics much more seamless.”

On-rails shooters aren't everyone's cup of tea, but for those who enjoy the idea of focusing on shooting up a storm with nothing else to think about, the Time Crisis games are real classics of the genre. You can download Time Crisis 2nd Strike here for £5.99/$9.99/€7.99.
