Well it looks like the partnership doesn't end there. HBO's parent company Time Warner threw some hints regarding the streaming service, during Wednesday's financial results call. During the call, Time Warner CEO Jeffery Bewkes said he is "pretty confident" Apple would be launching such a service later this year.
"It's no surprise to anyone that Apple would be interested in launching a TV product," Bewkes told CNet.
Previously Apple and Time Warner were reportedly working on an interface that would allow the Apple TV to replace cable boxes. However the project may have been shelved after Comcast attempted to acquire Time Warner Cable.
If a TV streaming service is in the works in Cupertino, we'll likely hear something about it at WWDC on June 8. It's also important to note that Tim Cook claimed "major, major changes in media" were coming, during Apple's earnings call on Monday.
