Tiny Wings, the iPhone and iPad game that has gone on to be just as successful as we thought it would, has had its first update from indie developer Andreas Illiger, who is solely responsible for the amazing game. According to his Twitter, Illiger submitted the update on March 18 for Apple’s approval, and it was released yesterday, March 25. Illiger says, via Twitter, that there’s more on the way too:

“Finally the first Tiny Wings update is outi! I’m also already working on the second one with a new game mode. < But that’s secret.”

According to Boy Genius Report, the update has added Game Center support, as well as leaderboards for distance, longest fever jump, most cloud touches and much more. A new nest has also been added, as well as a stats page, and you can now use your own iPod music in the game instead of the catchy theme tune if you so wish. The sixth island, which many found to be very hard to get past, has also been made a little easier.

It's good if you've got a spare five mins. Not something you sit down to play with...
