transferring files from computer to iphone

my iphone 3gs is jailbroken but i can't seem to transfer files from my computer to my iphone. I purchased some software for tracking that needs to be downloaded on my iphone. can this be done?

What are you using to transfer files...?

Myself I like using iFunbox....it has a nice interface... very easy to use...and transfer is via USB cable.

Or you can use "Safari Download Manager"(paid app in Cydia) to directly download the file to your iPhone....
