Trouble setting wallpaper - please help

I use a wallpaper app to create a wallpaper and then I set it as my homescreen wallpaper. The picture looks terrible so I deleted it from my camera roll.

However even after deleting it, it still shows up when I go to Settings > Wallpaper. And even if I try to change the wallpaper to the default wallpaper, it doesn't work.

How do I change the wallpaper back to the default image and how do I remove the bad picture from the wallpaper list?

I believe you need to reset the default as your default. It's basically the 2nd half of the instruction you need to tell the iphone. You told it to stop using one but didn't set what to use instead.
