Trouble with iCloud and new download

Last night I preformed the new download. Like many others I had issues. It finally made it thru ok. This morning when I was completing everything like answering the questions on the device. It asked me if I wanted to automatically sync to the iCloud daily with wifi or sync with computer. I chose daily with iCloud about 4 times and it would say can not connect with iCloud. I finally chose computer so I could move on...had to go to work. Now how can I go back and fix it where it will sync daily using wifi using the cloud?

Well I may have just solved my own problem. I went to settings,iCloud and all the way at the bottom there is "backup and storage". I turned it on and I think that fixed my problem. What does everyone else think?
