Trying to find apps in app store similar to jailbroken apps

Ok so I've had my iPhone 4 jailbroken a couple of time but only did it for about 6 apps that I liked. The ones I liked the most were the ones that gave me live updated weather on the actual icon, profile pictures on the contact list and I got irealsms just because it had the Profile pictures next to the names as well. Any help On getting something similar to these without jailbreaking would be nice. Thanks. Even if I have to purchase.

The whole point of jailbreaking is to install apps that apple will never allow. Only recently have we been allowed to choose our own wallpaper and pause apps in the background with multitasking, and you certainly can't compare getting to choose your own wallpaper with winterboard or multitasking with backgrounder from cydia...
