Trying to jailbreak iphone 4

Running iphone 4 6.1.3

tried to use redsnow but stops and says missing keys.
after entering dfu it starts to do its thing then stops and tell me "missing keys.plist data for this build" device iphone 4 ecid 293417805069 build iphone3,1_6.13_10b329. not sure what this means last time I jailbroke anything was with the iphone 3gs any help would be appreciated....

I think part of the problem is I can find where to download the 6.0 ipsw? the ones that I have found and downloaded I am unable to find the files I need

Download them using a non-Internet Explorer browser so they don't come up as ZIP files. Their extensions should be IPSW. Download the IPSW that matches your device's band here.

ok that was the problem thanks for the help. one other question how to i open it for the use with other carriers?

For a CDMA 4, that's not possible. You can flash it to a very limited pool of carriers, which isn't even worth the trouble. If it's a GSM 4, you can use an interposer such as Gevey or GPP, or you can buy a carrier unlock for a permanent unlock.

The GPP should work for the GSM 4.

it's not going to happen. You'll have to wait for the release of iOS 7 and the release of an iOS 7 jailbreak.

With the original situation already resolved. And since you canNOT jail break a 4S on iOS 6.1.3 - no matter how badly you want to (or how many posts you make about it), this thread is now closed. Thank you.
