Tumblr App Gets Major Redesign

9to5 Mac reports today that the Tumblr iOS app has had a major revamp, having been completely rebuilt from scratch, with a completely redesigned dashboard, support for high-res images, and offline mode, and much more. The new app is designed to make it much easier and more intuitive to write and post on your Tumblr. 9to5 Mac seems very impressed with the app, as does Mashable, which says that Tumblr Version 3.0 is very speedy, whereas the Tumblr Staff Blog keeps it fairly succinct, as you might expect, saying that the newly updated app makes for “an even better Tumblr experience”, with other goodies including Spotify support, improved photosets, new post forms, faster uploads and useful shortcuts, where you simply have to swipe the compose button up for camera and left for text, as well as Radar and Tag search, with the latter proving to be particularly popular with users.
