Simply Tweet worked well on my 3G although when I upgraded to my 4S I've just been using the Twitter app the phone came with.

Is there anything special you need the app to do?

I use echofon and I love it and it's free.. I have bout twitters apps and didn't like em so I refuse to buy another... And plus I'm in love with echofon

I second Echofon. I tried several others, including the stock app, and Echofon is by far my favorite, on both my iPad and my iPhone (though I like the iPad's a lot better).

Tweetdeck! I have it on my MBP so it is nice to have the same on both devices.

Original TWITTER app or EchoFon. Tweetbot works allright too I suppose.
Most people use EchoFon.
