Unable to save or import photos after iOS5 update

I have an Verizon iPhone 4. When I upgraded to ios5, all photos in the " inborn" photo app disappeared, and I can't save photos taken with the phone camera. I have tried syncing to my iMac ( it is my wife's phone and her computer is too old to have current iTunes/ iPhoto apps). I have also tried "restoring" the phone. Nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

iOS 5 has some bugs unfortunately

They released an update a few days ago (iOS 5.0.1) to correct some of the issues. Have you installed that one already?

No I haven't installed 5.0.1. I will try that. Thanks

I think that will fix it. If that doesn't, I would say do a full factory restore through iTunes to do a complete, fresh OS install. Hopefully between those two options, you'll be good again.
