Unexpected Shut Down

My iPhone shuts down unexpectedly. So far it has done it 2-3 times this week. It's never done it before, and I'm a little worried.

My droid bionic used to do it too because Motorola didn't pay much attention to the battery etc.

Why would my new iPhone 4 with fully charged battery keep unexpectedly shut down sometimes? I mean it isn't all the time but it would still be good to know why.....

could be a faulty device, take it to apple if it happens again

We assume you're writing about the 4S, right? If so, you're under warranty, and if I were you, I'd RUN to the place you got the phone and get a replacement. Your problem is not acceptable.
