Unlocked iPhone 4S from USA works in Brazil?

Hello people.

i'm from brazil, and i'm going to miami next week, and i'd like to purchase an unlocked 64GB iphone 4s, but i'm a little afraid about it...
i'd like to know if it will work here in brazil whithout the need of a modification, like jailbreak or the use of the gevey chip...
here the networks are all GSM, supported by the iphone 4S, like it's said in the apple official site, but i don't know if all the functions that my carrier ("claro", if someone knows) provides will be avaiable, like making calls, sending sms and using the 3g internet.
resuming : if i buy it unlocked, am i going to have any problem here in brazil or i only have to insert my micro sim chip in it and it's going to work properly, including the use of the internet 3g?

Im just going to put this out there I'm not an expert but i do believe it should work as long as your carrier provides micro sim cards witch is what the iPhone uses.

Don't take my word for it thou do more research if u don't get the answer your looking for here.

A unlocked phone will work on any GSM network. Not a problem.
