Updating Information Within App

Hi,

If you have an app with different products for a company and lets say one of them is discontinued, how would you update the information within the app?

I need to answer this to someone who isnt very tech savvy so I would love an explanation that is very simple.

Would it have to be sent as an update to Apple? How could I change the info within the app? Sorry if im not explaining it very well, i dont know much of the actual coding/programming part of things.
