Use UK iPhone 4 in Italy

Hi

i have a brand new iPhone bought in the UK and never used. I would like to use it in Italy, is it possible or is it blocked to a particular carrier? I bought my iPhone 4 on the UK Apple store.

You should be good to go! All iPhones from the UK applestore are factory unlocked.

i bought all my iphones or most of then over the uk , and even if there were with no signal as as they got in italy worked beautifully....it's something about the imei locked. anyway you should be able to use it .

Thank you guys. I bought it with that impression but then I had this doubt. Tomorrow I will buy a new sim and I will start using it.
